Lauren joined Greene & Marusak in the summer of 2023 as a summer law clerk, and continues to serve our clients while finishing law school. She will be joining the firm full-time upon sitting for the Bar exam in July 2024. She is a current third-year student at Stetson University’s College of Law in Gulfport, FL, where she was recently promoted to Articles Editor for the University’s Journal of Aging Law and Policy.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Lauren earned a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida in 2018. Following her graduation from UCF, she moved to Phoenix, Az, where she worked in hotel accounting & finance management for a Fortune 500 company, as well as a boutique wellness resort, until returning to Florida to attend law school. Lauren brings over 8 years of customer service, administrative, and hospitality experience to the firm. 

Lauren has always had a passion for helping others. While she originally enrolled at Stetson for its well-respected Elder Law Concentration, she quickly found a love for Veterans Benefits Law after volunteering as a summer fellow at Stetson’s Veterans Advocacy Clinic, within its Veterans Law Institute. In addition to her work at Greene & Marusak, she is currently an Advanced Clinic Student at Stetson’s Veterans Advocacy Clinic, and has served as Treasurer for Stetson’s Elder Law Society since 2022.

Lauren's passion for Veterans Benefits Law and her longtime interest in writing led to her composing a seminar paper titled The Best Interests of Who? in the Spring of 2023. The seminar paper focuses on the pitfalls of VA's current fiduciary program, and the intersection between elder abuse, our aging veterans, and the need for change. She is currently in the revision process, with the goal of having it published in the near future.
